Starting February 1st, 2009 I will be posting a daily picture in this gallery. I will try to include a picture of things that are meaningful to me or that reflect my day. Any feedback or comments are appreciated.

orsophotography > August 19, 2009. Our niece arrived today from Kansas and we all went to pick her up at the airport. On the way back we stopped at The Old Spaguetti Factory for dinner. Gabe took this photo of the room we were using. I like the colors and tones, as well as the reflection on the table.
orsophotography > August 18, 2009. Gabe, Eli, Noah, and I went for a quick drive today to try to capture the sunset near our house. We came across this field with these huge sprinklers and Gabe snapped this shot quickly, since we could not park there for long.
orsophotography > August 17, 2009. I have never seen a sun flower this color before today. I had to take a photo for the Daily Gallery. There were several yellow, and a couple more just like this one. Is this version of the sun flower still called Sun Flower?
orsophotography > August 16, 2009. We always drive by a house in our neighborhood that has some pretty flowers in the front yard. Well, we decided to walk there and take a few photos of their flowers. Here is one of them. With so little rain and some pretty hot days, these flowers seem to be making through just fine.

orsophotography > August 13, 2009. Gabe, Eli, and I went to our first Pow Wow yesterday in Grand Ronde, Oregon (which is about 45 miles away) from Salem. We took some great, colorful shots of some beautiful attires.
orsophotography > August 12, 2009. Another shot taken at swimming lesson this week. Kids having fun by spraying other kids as they walked by... They call this game "car wash", and everyone seemed to have enjoyed it.
orsophotography > August 11, 2009. Gabe took this shot of a pool ornament that I thought it looked great against the calm water... I like the reflection as well...It is hard to be around a pool on a hot day and not be able to jump in...
orsophotography > August 10, 2009. I did not have much of a chance to take pictures today because Noah was sick the whole afternoon (poor little guy). I did manage to capture this one this morning while the boys were at swimming lessons. I saw these clouds and they looked like brush strokes on a big blue canvas.
orsophotography > August 9, 2009. We celebrated my sister-in-law's birthday today, even though her 'real' birthday is tomorrow. She ended up getting her own cake, and this is what it said on the top. This ice cream cake was awesome! Happy Birthday Becca!! You are one year closer to the big 40! :D
orsophotography > August 8, 2009. Gabe and I had the pleasure of photographying someone's wedding today. It was a beautiful day and as I went through some of the photos we took, I found this one that I liked of the groom holding the rings. I converted to B&W in PS, but I restored the rings to their original color from the original photo that Gabe took. Congratulations to Thomas and Jessica and thank you for letting us be a part of this special day!
orsophotography > August 7, 2009. These were taken by Gabe and I, from the same backyard as yesterday's photo. We have had a heat wave here in Salem for the past week, and a lot of the flowers and grass have died or became really brown and faded... however, these flowers seemed to have survived, with only a little bit of evidence left from the heat.
orsophotography > August 6, 2009. Gabe took this photo from someone's backyard, and I really liked his composition. Seems like a classic shot you'd see on a country magazine. I did it in B&W with a soft look, but then I could not decide which one I liked better...
orsophotography > August 5, 2009. I took this photo while watching Eli and Noah at their swimming lessons. The way these were attached to the fence looked cool and I really liked the bright color blue.
