Today is our last day at the Oregon coast and we went to the Mark Hatfield Marine Science Center in Newport. Between Gabe and I, we took so many pictures that it was very difficult to decide which one to use for the Daily Picture. I ended up chosing this picture I took of this Sea Anemone that all the kids were touching, including Eli and Noah. They loved it. Since the colors seemed to be nice and rich, I decided to use it.

For this shot, I used a Nikon 18-105mm lens.

We went to Riverfront Park again today and while Eli and Noah played around and JeneƩ watched them, Gabe and I went for a walk looking for photos to take.. Gabe took this photo by the dock and I really like his composition and the details. We took other great photos, but I think this one makes it a great Daily Picture.

This picture was taken by Gabe today as my sister-in-law walked her dog. We are spending a few days in Depot Bay on the Oregon coast (where it rains often) with our entire family and we all have dogs. I like the matching colors on this picture - and I think Gabe did a good job composing it too.

We went to the Zoo today and I took this photo of Noah as he watched the Sea Lion swim by. It kept swiming back and forth, and when it came close to the glass, Noah could not help by raise his hands ~ he was very excited to be at the Zoo today.

Gabe and I had an engagement photo shoot today at Willamette University here in Salem. There is a beautiful flower garden and we took several shots there. Overall, the photo shoot was a success. I am excited to finish processing some of the photos for the Bride and Groom to see.

I went on a field trip with Eli's class today to Champoeg State Park, which is approximately 20 min. from Salem. This is the site where Oregon's first provisional government was formed by a historical vote in 1843. As we walked through the museum, I saw this display of an old style camera and photo album, which I thought it was pretty cool. We have come a long way with today's cameras... just amazing.

It's been a while since we posted a Daily Photo. We have been so busy and unfortunately, the Daily Photos Gallery has been neglected for a long time. I am sorry that I have not been around to comment on other people's galleries as well. Gabe took this photo today. It was a nice, sunny day. We have had a lot of rain here in Oregon, and it was nice to see the flowers blooming already. I really like how Gabe composed this photo; not to mention the rich and vivid colors as well.

The white at the end of the flowers look almost "neon" like, which is another aspect I like about this shot. Gabe continues to develop his photography skills... The only pp I did on this photo was cropping the right side a little.

First day of school for Eli and Noah today. They were both excited and had a great day. Gabe's first day is tomorrow ~ he is a sofmore now. I hope all 3 boys have a great year.

Since it's Sunday, I am adding a church picture. This is one of the windows of our church at dusk (First Church of the Nazarene). Gabe took this picture a couple of weeks ago as we were working on a project and we needed a night picture of the church. I think it turned out good, specially the colors.
