Gabe, Eli, and Noah went to our favorite pizza place downtown Salem called Straight from New York Pizza. We were the first ones there, and Gabe got this cool photo of the pizza guy (Nico) spinning the dough. We all had a great lunch, as always, and the kids enjoyed watching Nico make pizzas.

I took this shot yesterday during Salem Academy's High School graduation. It was a fun event and exciting to see the seniors' plan for the future; many of them will be attending college starting in the fall, which is great! It was a very encouraging and rewarding evening.

I saw this cross at the Salem Alliance Church here in Salem. I was there for the high school graduation that took place today (which I will post a picture for tomorrow’s Daily Picture). I was told that when someone gets baptized at this church, they get to write their name on a little ribbon and nail it to the cross. I thought it was a cool concept and reminder for all of us of the price paid for our salvation…
I wanted to apologize for not commenting lately ~ I will catch up this weekend as I am about to finish a big project...

It is said that 'fear of public speaking' is the #1 fear people have! This is Eli getting ready to read his Bible verse for his school Spring program. He did a great job, but as I took this picture, I could tell he was a little nervous ~ and it made me wonder what was on his mind at this moment...

All 4 of us were having a great time on the trampoline today. We had the water on for a brief moment (then started to get windy and cold and we turned it off). Here is a picture of Gabe taking a break from homework and having some fun.

Another photo I took during last Friday's wedding... As I go through them, I have been finding neat shots that make great Daily Picture material. I haven't been out much with my camera since I have been working on the wedding photos, which I should be done by tomorrow...

I have been spending time reviewing, editing, and sorting some of the weeding photos Jeneé and I took on Friday, and I wanted to post another wedding photo of Brian and Anna. We had a great time shooting this weeding, and the families made us feel very welcomed and comfortable.

We had a very warm day today with the temperature close to 90 degrees. We had our garden hose attached to the trampoline in the backyard, and both Eli and Noah were having a blast jumping on the trampoline with the water sprinkling over them... they stopped enough for me to get this photo, then they were back at it... (you can actually see the water dropplets in the background). Doesn't that make you want to be a kid again?? :D

Gabe was invited to a birthday party / lunch at the Willamette Queen today (pictured). He had a great time and took several shots. This is one of my favorites and I wanted to post it for the Daily Picture.

Jeneé and I had the pleasure of photographing Brian and Anna's wedding today. We had a great time getting to know them, their families, and friends. We have over 2,000 photos to review in the next few days. Jeneé and I decided that this photo should be our Daily Picture. The couple left the church in a 1949 Cadillac (same one I did a collage for a few weeks ago). We wish Brian and Anna the best, and it was our honor to be a part of this memorable event.

I know I have been posting several collages this week, and I am sorry for one more.. Noah was practicing his basketball yesterday in the backyard and I just had to capture it. He was doing a great job too - making all sorts of baskets. This one is my favorite, maybe because of the look on his face. He is confident that the ball is going in...

We had a fire truck and ambulance come to our kids' school today to do a presentation for our pre-school students and I happened to be there with my camera to capture the event. We used the photos to create a page in the yearbook called Community Service Day! The firetruck was amazing ~ it seemed pretty new and loaded with tools. I found this bell attached to the front bumper and I had to photograph it. I was able to get it without my SP being on it :D

I am still going through some of the weekend photos, and here is one of the sunset on Sunday. Gabe and I drove around the coastline until we found a spot we liked, and snapped some sunset photos. The ocean was calm compared to what we have seen before.

We got back today from camping at Beverly Beach at the Oregon Coast. We had a great time, and as usual, the weather was the best today (that we were leaving). But we did not have any rain, which is good for Oregon during this time.

After taking shots of Gabe doing some jumps yesterday, I decided to photograph Eli and Noah too ~ and post it here for a Dialy Picture.

Thank you all who have been commenting on my photos.. I really appreciate the feedback.

Gabe, Noah, and I were exploring new paths and we found this cool area that made it great for some bike jumps.. Gabe tried several jumps, and this one turned out decent. Of course he finally crashed as he was trying to go higher and higher... and of course he learned he needs to wear his helmet too.

We are camping at the beach this weekend (at Beverly Beach camp ground) and we don't have internet access at our camp site (imagine that). But we found a visitor center that has free wi-fi... This is a picture I actually took today of this tree that was cut recently.. the dripping sap looked good, and smelled even better.

I took this photo today from my mother-in-law's backyard. There were several of these (I am sorry, but I don't know their name) in her flower bed. I wish I had better macro so that I could get really close, but until then, this may have to do it :D

Thank you all who commented on my photo from yesterday! Have a great and safe Memorial Day Weekend everyone!

Gabe and I took over 1,000 pictures today for a Salem Academy event. We had a great time and this is one of the photos from some shovels that were used for a groundbreaking ceremony for a new building. As I go through some of the other photos, I will add a link to the gallery in case anyone would like to check them out.

I took this picture in our front yard today as I waited for the mail to arrive. This particular flower seems to be in the shape of a heart, which made it unique amongst the others... It just seemed like a good Daily Picture.

I wanted to thank everyone who took the time to comment on my DP for the past couple of days. Your comments are appreciated and welcomed.

It must be summer time - a baseball in the grass - makes me want to go barefoot. Nice light and contrast.
