Since I posted one of Eli's photo yesterday, Noah asked me to post this one of him on his first day of school too. Before class started, he played with this puzzle with one of his friends. He had a great first day!

I have been processing a bunch of photos taken a few weeks ago, and I came across this one that Jeneé took during her birthday party. These eggs looked weird, bu they tasted great. We also learned NOT to place eggs on black napkin - they absorb the color from the napkin.

Gabe and I went out last night to try to photograph the moon. This has always been a challenge for us. We used our 200mm, but I had to crop it a little to get a better look. Photographing the moon will continue to be a "work in progress" for us.

I am still processing some photos from yesterday's photo shoot at the Oregon State Capitol park. Here is a side view of the Capitol Building, taken approximately around 5:45pm.

After a brief interruption, I am re-staring my Daily Picture. This photo was taken today, after the sun was already down. I set my tripod and did a long exposure and amazing enough, the sky came out this nice and rich blue color. We had a great day today - the sun was out and the sky very clear.

I took this photo during the Flag Ceremony at our kids' school this morning. All the students circled around the flag pole and watched, sang, and enjoyed being a part of this event.

First JV football game tonight...They ended up losing, but it was a good game. Here are 3 players on the sideline, watching their team mates as they tackled down another player during the second quarter...

Sunset from a parking lot at our kids' school... The sky looked beautiful with no clouds, just orange tone behind this old tree...

First day of school for Eli and Noah today. They were both excited and had a great day. Gabe's first day is tomorrow ~ he is a sofmore now. I hope all 3 boys have a great year.

Another shot taken as we walked downtown Silverton. The shops were closed (Labor Day), but they still left things like this outside. We definitely enjoyed the morning as we walked around and did some window shopping.

We celebrated our 20th Wedding Anniversary this weekend and spent the night in Silverton, Oregon. We had dinner at the Silver Grille and it was great. I took this photo the next day, when we were walking around town.

We noticed that it is becoming harder and harder to find pretty sunflowers lately.. maybe the rain, or the change in weather has something to do with it. Jeneé and I stopped at a place and took this shot, which I modified in PS to look like it was taken through an old style window... I like the little bee flying right below the flower...

Salem Academy's first football game of the season and they started with a victory. This is a photo Gabe took of the after-game prayer time they have. Parents, teachers, and in this case, the other team, are invited to the participate by coming to the middle of the field and placing their hands on the players during prayer. Since this is a private Christian school, we have the freedom to pray like this. I wish more schools would do this.

I finally finished going through the photos we took last weekend, and I had to add one more of the beach... This seems like a typical childhood photo to me.

Gabe and I had a photo shoot with Salem Academy's cheerleaders today. We took some shots inside the gym, and some outside on the football field. Here is a close up of one of their uniforms.

Another photo from our camping trip this weekend, this time of an awesome camp fire we built. I am glad we had good weather and no one got hurt :D

This photo was taken a couple of days ago, but I just now finished with the pp. It was a foggy and windy day at the Oregon Coast when this was taken, and the sun was hidden. As always, the water was too cold for swimming, but we still had a good time in the water.

This is Gabe fishing by himself at Devil's Lake. The boys eventually started to catch some fish, but they were too small to keep. Together they probably caught and released over 30 fishes, all too small.

Eli fishing by the docks as well... The boys wanted to fish all day if we let them; but they had enough opportunity in the mornings and afternoons. This photo was taken before we tried 'worm' as bait, and it was pretty slow until then.

We had an opportunity to go camping at the Oregon Coast one more time before school starts on Sept. 8th and we stayed at Devil's Lake Campground. The boys had a great time fishing by the docks. This is a photo of Noah casting all by himself, while Gabe sits in the back and waits...
