August 27, 2009.<br /> <br /> Gabe went to an auto show last weekend and I just now started to look at some of the photos he took. There are several very nice shots, but I like this one a lot. Maybe it's the bright color and composition... this seems like a nice ride that has been nicely restored.

Gabe went to an auto show last weekend and I just now started to look at some of the photos he took. There are several very nice shots, but I like this one a lot. Maybe it's the bright color and composition... this seems like a nice ride that has been nicely restored.

  • August 26, 2009.<br /> <br /> Gabe and I had the opportunity to photograph the ground breaking event at his high school today. They are starting preparing the area for a new building. I took this shot just as the tractor tore off the first slab of concrete.
  • August 25, 2009.<br /> <br /> This is Taren and she is a graduate from Salem Academy. She was kind enough to let Gabe and I photograph her on Monday around Salem.   • August 22, 2009.<br /> <br /> Today was Jeneé's parents 50th Wedding Anniversary and the 4 daughters put together an 'open house' for them ~ so that family members and friends could stop by and visit for a while. This is a photo of the original wedding dress (in the back) holding this bouquet of flowers.
  • August 24, 2009.<br /> <br /> Another shot taken at Willamette University, of the clock tower this time. Gabe saw this image as we were crossing a bridge that we both really liked. It turned out to be a beautiful day and we got some great shots.
  • August 23, 2009<br /> <br /> Gabe and I went to photograph a couple for their 25th Wedding Anniversary today at Willamette University grounds here in Salem. They have a botanical garden with some great flowers. Here is a small sample of some of the flowers Gabe captured.
  • August 21, 2009.<br /> <br /> Another shot taken just outside of Salem, of the sunset as viewed through one of those wheels that holds the sprinklers for the farm land.
  • August 20, 2009. <br /> <br /> This photo was taken just outside of Salem, OR. We went for a drive and came across this beautiful sunset, that we just had to photograph.
  • August 19, 2009.<br /> <br /> Our niece arrived today from Kansas and we all went to pick her up at the airport. On the way back we stopped at The Old Spaguetti Factory for dinner. Gabe took this photo of the room we were using. I like the colors and tones, as well as the reflection on the table.
  • August 18, 2009.<br /> <br /> Gabe, Eli, Noah, and I went for a quick drive today to try to capture the sunset near our house. We came across this field with these huge sprinklers and Gabe snapped this shot quickly, since we could not park there for long.
  • August 17, 2009.<br /> <br /> I have never seen a sun flower this color before today. I had to take a photo for the Daily Gallery. There were several yellow, and a couple more just like this one. Is this version of the sun flower still called Sun Flower?
  • August 16, 2009.<br /> <br /> We always drive by a house in our neighborhood that has some pretty flowers in the front yard. Well, we decided to walk there and take a few photos of their flowers. Here is one of them. With so little rain and some pretty hot days, these flowers seem to be making through just fine.

  • August 13, 2009.<br /> <br /> Gabe, Eli, and I went to our first Pow Wow yesterday in Grand Ronde, Oregon (which is about 45 miles away) from Salem. We took some great, colorful shots of some beautiful attires.
  • August 12, 2009.<br /> <br /> Another shot taken at swimming lesson this week. Kids having fun by spraying other kids as they walked by... They call this game "car wash", and everyone seemed to have enjoyed it.
  • August 11, 2009.<br /> <br /> Gabe took this shot of a pool ornament that I thought it looked great against the calm water... I like the reflection as well...It is hard to be around a pool on a hot day and not be able to jump in...
  • August 10, 2009.<br /> <br /> I did not have much of a chance to take pictures today because Noah was sick the whole afternoon (poor little guy). I did manage to capture this one this morning while the boys were at swimming lessons. I saw these clouds and they looked like brush strokes on a big blue canvas.
  • August 9, 2009.<br /> <br /> We celebrated my sister-in-law's birthday today, even though her 'real' birthday is tomorrow. She ended up getting her own cake, and this is what it said on the top. This ice cream cake was awesome! Happy Birthday Becca!! You are one year closer to the big 40! :D
  • August 8, 2009.<br /> <br /> Gabe and I had the pleasure of photographying someone's wedding today. It was a beautiful day and as I went through some of the photos we took, I found this one that I liked of the groom holding the rings. I converted to B&W in PS, but I restored the rings to their original color from the original photo that Gabe took. Congratulations to Thomas and Jessica and thank you for letting us be a part of this special day!
