Thank you all for your kind comments on my "Pie in the Face" sequences... I appreciate you taking the time to comment on our photos.
As I continue to go through the Carnival photos from last Saturday, I keep finding photos that would make great Daily Photo. This one is just priceless - specially the extreme expression on his face - just as he is getting ready to receive a Pie in the Face from an elementary student... good times!!

 • Look dad!! its an antique!! just kidding, i have always had a fascination with old (give or take a an 80's camera being old) but not digital cameras, i really liked this camera when i saw it, and decided to snap a picture of it!! i did the b&w in my "in camera editing software" on my D90, just for fun and thought it turned out nicely! Hope you enjoy!!
• Hey guys, Gabe here, this is a photo i took a while back during basketball season, i thought it represented school spirit well, it was taken with a fish eye lense, (i used a Cannon 1d Mark IIII with a sigma 10-20mm) and i did the PP in photoshop! i hope you enjoy it!!

We drove to Portland, Oregon today and stopped at our favorite Chinese restaurant, called Wu's Open Kitchen. As always, our lunch was incredible. Gabe took his camera and snapped this shot of his Hot and Sour soup, which I liked it a lot. Looks like something you would see on a menu or brochure.

Here is another portrait Gabe took recently that I just finished processing.

Gabe took this photo yesterday while taking some senior photos for a friend. I did the pp by enhancing the colors a little, and softning the image. Gabe did great capture this shot.

I was going through some photos from a few weeks ago and came across this one that Gabe had taken while helping some people train their hunting dogs. I apologize in advance if this photo offends anyone, but I liked the composition, colors, and framing. Gabe seemed to have captured this really well.

Gabe and I stopped by the State Capitol park today to do some "evening" photography (after the sun had gone down). We met a nice couple who were willing to pose and let us take their photos; here is one of them. I took this photo - as we played with different remote flash operation and different flash positions, etc.

Gabe and I went to watch another Salem Academy softball game and here is a sequence of shots Gabe captured, at the right time... Nothing like being ready to go and at the right place, at the right time! This seems to look better in a collage than individual shots.

Gabe, Noah, and I went to a girl's softball game for Salem Academy tonight. It was a beautiful day too. Noah caught one of the balls that went out-of-bounds and he was a happy camper to just play with it for a long time. I took this shot after the game was over and I right before I told him that he had to return the ball... and he could not keep it. He was OK with it and returned it after playing catch a little longer...

As I continue to review some of the photos from yesterday's carnival, I created another collage from Pie in the Face photos Gabe took. I specifically like the "splash" on this one. Needless to say, some of the innocent bystanders got whip cream too. :D

Our school (Salem Academy) had their annual carnival yesterday; one of the kids' favorite events is the Pie In The Face. They get to purchase tickets and place them in buckets for each of the volunteer teachers. At the end of the day, names are drawn and the students get to carry out the tough (but enjoyable) task of delivering a Pie in the Face of their favorite teacher.

Here is a shot of one of the new teachers, going along and having fun (and being a great sport). Gabe captured this sequence - as this is one of his teachers as well.

I was driving by the State Capitol building today and noticed that the trees are blooming; so, I had to stop and try to capture it. I would've liked more if the sky was blue, but that's not very common in Oregon :D Hopefully I will be able to stop by once again when the weather is a little nicer before the flowers start to disappear.

Here is another photo taken by Gabe yesterday that I really liked. Looked like a classic shot of dog in the water.

Gabe took this photo this morning. He has been working with some professional dog trainers for the past 3 days, and since they start pretty early in the morning, he was able to capture the sunrise behind some trees. I really like how this photo turned out - and I thought it would make a great Daily Photo.

I took this photo of Noah on Saturday, but I just now got done uploading and processing it. We drove to Monmouth, Oregon, to look for an open country setting for a photo shoot. We came across this beautiful area, just outside of town. This is Noah jumping. He was glad to model for me to get this country photo...

Another shot of flowers and this time the blue sky... When composing this photo, the flowers seemd to be looking up, so, I got under them and took this shot as if I were looking / pointing in the same direction they were - the sky.

I look foward to days like this one...

Gabe and I had a photo shoot today and we came across this tree house in Monmouth, Oregon. It was on a field and it seemed abandoned and forgotten. I liked how the tree branches broke through the roof as they grew and the moss took over everything... It made me imagine how many kids have played here before from time to time.

It's been a while since we posted a Daily Photo. We have been so busy and unfortunately, the Daily Photos Gallery has been neglected for a long time. I am sorry that I have not been around to comment on other people's galleries as well. Gabe took this photo today. It was a nice, sunny day. We have had a lot of rain here in Oregon, and it was nice to see the flowers blooming already. I really like how Gabe composed this photo; not to mention the rich and vivid colors as well.

The white at the end of the flowers look almost "neon" like, which is another aspect I like about this shot. Gabe continues to develop his photography skills... The only pp I did on this photo was cropping the right side a little.
