We took the bunny we found yesterday to the Humane Society today since we have not been able to find it's owner. While there we saw this little fella in one of the cages, playing with a toy... (we didn't know bunnies played with toys). They had several bunnies in different cages, waiting to be adopted...

We woke up today with a nice surprise on the ground; it had snowed overnight. The kids were very excited, even though school was 'on time' and the snow is suppose to be gone by the end of the day. I drove by the State Capitol Building and took this photo (as the sky started to clear up).

Gabe was working on a school project for his digital photography class and we went out to take some random pictures. I took this shot of a Nissan Z that was parked at the dealership, and I didn't realize the details until I got home and edited it. I like it best in black & white.

I didn't have much of an opportunity to take any pictures today (I think the day just went too fast); I had this picture of Noah giving Jeneé a hug a couple of days ago that I wanted to use. I specially like how he was staring at me, and I know exactly what he is thinking too - "Look, I am with Mommy!". But his overall expression is of comfort, safety, and love.

Today's picture is from a bank located downtown Independence, Oregon. When I saw this old bank, in great condition standing by itself downtown, I just had to capture it. I like the architectural details - and the classic style. They sure don't make it like this anymore. I could not decide on the pp for this photo.. color or antique?

Jeneé made a suggestion that my Daily Picture for Sundays be of a church. I started last week with a church here in Salem, Oregon; but today's picture is from a church in "The Dalles, OR". This is St. Peter's Church, which is no longer a Catholic church, just a museum. It was built in 1897 and dedicated on St. Patrick's Day, March 17, 1898, and saved from demolition in 1971. The stained glass windows are original. I like old churches and if I had a chance, I would love to travel across the US photographing them.

Gabe took today's picture while we were changing the oil on both of our cars this afternoon (and having some father-son time). He pretty much did all the work on the truck. We played with the different colors using Adobe Lightroom 2.1 and I think this is the one we liked best.

I took this picture as I was leaving a restaurant last Friday, and I have been wating for an opportunity to use it. These glasses looked really cool to me - and the bar tender told me that I could not take pictures, but he said that after I had already taken it...

This picture was taken at Viento Campground, by the Willamette River between Oregon and Washington. I like how the tracks lead to this beautiful scenery, very peaceful...

I had to drive to Arlington, Oregon today and I saw these giant wind propellers along the way, on the Oregon/Washington border. I took several pictures of them, but this one shows their sizes when compared to the little cows below them.

When Jeneé got home this evening we found this bunny in front of our house.. She saw it crossing the street and almost getting hit by another car. We decided to take it and put it in a cardbox for the time being; Jeneé's sister will be taking it home overnight since our dog does not like other animals very much.

Today's picture is from a church downtown Salem, OR. I was playing around with Adobe Lightroom 2.1, and I was trying to achieve an old look and feel for this picture. The sign was lit up, which didn't help much.. Please give me some feedback! Thanks.

I have to admit that I took this picture on the 11th, but I liked it so much that I wanted to save it for today! Happy Valentine's Day and thank you all for your comments on my previous pictures.

Today's Daily Picture was taken by Gabe. We went to take pictures of some students from his school who were attending a Winter Formal dinner and this specific picture caught my attention. The picture was taken originally in color, but I think I like it better this way.

Today is Gabe's 15th Birthday!! It is amazing how time flies. We had a small celebration at home with a few family members, and a couple of his friends from school. We had a great dinner, ice cream cake, then Gabe and his friends went to see a movie.

Jeneé has been working on valentines for her students, and I saw this little box on the table today that looked pretty cool. I had to take a picture of it.

Today's Daily Picture was taken by Gabe (my 14 yr. old). He got a Nikon D40 last fall and he has been very active in taking pictures. For this picture, he was playing around with our 50mm lens and I really like the low light image he captured without using a flash. He is becoming a good photographer, and he is not afraid to try different settings, etc.

I decided to use another picture that Eli (my 8 yr. old) took for today's Daily Picture, this time of my wife Jeneé. She will probably ask me to take this picture down as she doesn't like to have her picture taken often, but I think this is a good picture of her and Eli did another great job composing this image, and making it different...

Eli wanted to take pictures today while we were getting our haircut; He really wanted for me to post this picture of him on the Daily Pictures gallery. He was having a good time with my camera and I was impressed on how well he was holding the camera.

Gabe and I drove to Silverton (Oregon) this morning, and we came across this mural of "The Mammoth - The World's Largest Camera" and I thought it was intersting enough to add to my daily gallery for today.

Although the quality of this picture is good ~ it is indeed a very sad and depressing thought.
