Eli performed with his friend at the Talent Show on the last day of school. They sang "Beat It", and danced, and played their Guitar Hero Guitars. It was a lot of fun and they did a great job. His act was one of the last because the band teacher thought it was going to be a popular one.
I am trying to play with Photoshop CS4 more, and this is one of my attempts to try to use it more... Any feedback is welcomed.

Gabe went to mow someone's lawn today (that is his summer job) and we found this awesome "weed" that was the size of an orange ~ and we had to photograph it. It would've been nicer if I had a macro and could get a little closer. The sky was amazing again ~ just blue with no clouds.

Gabe performed today at Corban College (here in Salem) after a week long music workshop. There were lot of kids from all over who attended, and they all did an outstanding job ~ even though they only practiced together for 1 week. Great job Gabe.

I have been trying to get some graduation photos I took earlier in the month processed. This is one of the photos I took of a student who was standing near me.

Another photo taken from the park near our house. Noah has a great time climbing and running when we are there. He can now do the monkey bars all by himself. It always amazes me how kids (sometimes) don't have a sense of fear!

I was going through some more wedding photos from last Saturday and I decided to post one more. Any feedback is appreciated on what I can do better. Here is the gallery with a few more shots.
I took Eli and Noah to the park today and the sky looked amazing. It was warm, but not too hot. Here is a photo I took while they played in the playground.

Happy Father's Day! This is the card my boys got me today. They were excited and came wake me up to wish me a Happy Father's Day! Eli made me toasted bagel for breakfast. It is fun to see how much enjoyment kids get and how excited they are on special days like today.

I had an opportunity to learn from a fellow photographer today as he invited me to join him as he shot a wedding here in Salem. It was a privilege to observe, and learn some new tricks from him. I am very thankful for the opportunity. Here is one of the photos I took of the bride. Her name is Angela.

Milestone day today... Gabe finally got his braces off after two-and-a-half years! They were supposed to be off last December, but it didn't happen until now. He was relieved and much happier now. I will try to get Gabe to pose for some portraits for me soon (preferably after he gets a hair cut).

One of the projects I have been working on this week is a 50th Wedding Anniversary invitation for my mother and father-in-law (sorry Nana, this is all you get to see for now). I have created it using Adobe InDesign, which I have been learning more and more about it.

Window from one of the buildings at Mission Mill. Gabe and I will have to go back there another day.

Another shot from Mission Mill. This time, Gabe and I were practicing the soft effect with the running water. This place is amazing, and the photo opportunities are just great!

I am sorry for not being around this week for commenting and posting new daily photos. It has been a rough week for me, and I miss looking at all the new photos posted each day here.
I took these shot at Mission Mill, here in Salem. The flower in the middle (which I don't know what's called) seemed cool and "alien" to me.

I took Gabe to a friend's house in Silverton, Oregon today and I stopped to take a few shots of this covered bridge near one the parks. Silverton has another covered bridge that is big enough to drive through it; this one is for pedestrians only. It was very peaceful to walk through it and listen to the creek below it.

This is one of the nice and yummy pizzas from our favorite pizza place called "Straight from New York". I placed a photo of the Nico spinning a pizza dough last week, and I didn't realize (until now) that Gabe had also captured a photo of one of the pizzas that just came out of the oven... I could eat there everyday if possible...

I have been spending a lot of time going through hundreds of photos I have taken this past couple of weeks and I have not been able to get out and take new ones (I am sorry!). There is another use for the Hula Hoop ~ to make giant bubles... This is Eli having fun at a kids' museum here in Salem called Gilbert House.

I actually took this shot yesterday during an event for Salem Academy. The 8th Graders were being recognized and 'promoted' for freshman for next school year. I took this shot of our newphew who was sitting next to me as he tried to get a shot of his brother (who just completed 8th grade). Used Photoshop again to add the treatment.

Gabe is playing basketball for Salem Academy now. This photo was taken during one of his games during a time out. This is his first time playing basketball and he is having a great time.

Eli's 2nd grade class went on a field trip today and I had a chance to tag along for a couple of hours. They had a great time riding the carousel at the waterfront park. I took this shot as we waited in line for our turn.
