I took this shot this morning while driving around the coast. Yaquina Head Lighthouse is pretty cool, and you can actually tour the inside of it (and climb all the way to the top), which we didn't do it this time.

We went to the Zoo today and I took this photo of Noah as he watched the Sea Lion swim by. It kept swiming back and forth, and when it came close to the glass, Noah could not help by raise his hands ~ he was very excited to be at the Zoo today.

Today was Gabe's last day at basketball camp at Corban College here in Salem; Eli and Noah went to watch him play this afternoon and I took this shot as we waited. I did the pp in Photoshop ~ per Gabe's recommendation. Each player took one of these balls home as a souvenir. Gabe did very well and he has been extremelly tired from practicing basketball for 8 hours a day this week.

Our family went to the Riverfront Park this evening to let the kids ride their bikes while Jeneé and I walked and took some photos. I got this shot of the sunset after the sun had already gone down; I just liked the color of the sky.

I took this photo yesterday while we went for a bike ride and I think I like it best in B&W. They just opened this bridge for pedestrians to walk from one park downtown to another. It is pretty cool.

Today is Noah's 5th Birthday and the theme we used was Guitar (Guitar Hero). He has been playing this game a lot recently and he is becoming very good at it. We gave him one of the new games for PS3 and he just loved it. So, instead of a cake, I am using a photo of his plate...

Gabe and I went to a church dinner today for some friends who are going on a mission trip to Brazil. They raised over $35,000, which is a great. I took this shot of the Brazil flag that was at our table for decoration. They will be doing great work in Brazil.

July is a big Birthday month for us.. we have 4 people in our family whose Birthdays are in July, and 3 of them are right next to each other... July 10, 13, and 14. So, needless today, we have cake and celebrate! :D Here is shot Gabe took of the Birthday cake we had today. I just liked how he composed this shot and since the camera was on manual setting, the people didn't show up around the cake...

Yesterday was my birthday, but we did not have a chance to celebrate it with the kids until today. They got me an ice cream cake, and used some of my collectibles Batman action figures to decorate it... It was a nice surprise and the cake was very good. This photo was taken by Gabe, since I was getting ready to blow the candles.

I went to look at the place where a client will be getting married at next month, and I saw these beautiful flowers with the bench in the back ground that looked very 'country' to me. I just had to snap a photo of them. This place had so many beautiful flowers that was hard to chose which one would make the Daily Picture gallery.

I took this photo near my father and mother-in-law's house. This bush looked so vibrant and rich that I had to capture it. I am not happy with my framing job on this one... I think there might be a better way to display this photo that is more complementary. Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated.

Update: 7/10/09: I changed the frame from the white border to this one, which I like it a little better.

Here is one of the engagement photos I took yesterday at Willamette University campus. This is one of my favorite photos and any feedback you have would be appreciated.
07/08 3:55 pm PST: Additional info: The lens flare was not added. I used the natural sunlight to create that. Thanks for all of your feedback on this shot! It is interesting to read all the comments. I am not sure how to remove it using Photoshop ~ if someone out there wants to give it a try, let me know.. Thanks again!

Gabe and I had an engagement photo shoot today at Willamette University here in Salem. There is a beautiful flower garden and we took several shots there. Overall, the photo shoot was a success. I am excited to finish processing some of the photos for the Bride and Groom to see.

We got back from the coast today and I started to go through some of camping photos. I took this one of the BBQ skewers we made yesterday for dinner, which turned out excellent.. I am sorry if there are any vegetarians who stop by and see this photo.

Happy 4th of July everyone! I took this picture of Jenee's pin that she received from her cousin who is visiting this week. It belonged to her aunt who passed away a month ago.

I am sorry for not commenting, but I have not had internet connect this week. I will catch up when I return home. I am sure I am missing some great photos!!

Another shot of the Yaquina Head Lighthouse, this time during sunset. We had to go on a 2 mile hike to get here since the lighthouse park was closing, but it was worth it.

Oregon Coast can get a little chilly at night.. we made sure we had enough firewood around. We are burning wood from our apple tree that we had to take down last year, which was nice and dry... Gabe and I have been working on our low light photography as well.

Gabe took this sunflower shot yesterday at my sister-in-law's trailer. I liked his composition and decided to make a postcard (sort of).

Well, I am the third person in a row that thought this would make an excellent postcard.
I also agree with Jennifer. I would print it and frame it. It is way to nice to just sit on your hard drive.
Awesome piece of Art here, Orso. Well done.
