Gabe and I were testing our camera's "commander" mode by triggering the flash remotely. I took this shot and was surprised to see I got the flash as it deployed. We had fun testing this out and playing with different lighting techniques.

I took this shot during one of Gabe's Basketball game. It was fun to try to catch the ball at the right moment.
Sorry everyone that I have not been around lately to comment on daily photos. I am hoping to get a break soon so that I can see the awesome work everyone has been doing...

Eli turned 9 years old today! Both Jenee and I took the day off work and we drove to the mountain to play in the snow for the day. We then celebrated his birthday at home and here is a photo of the ice cream cake he wanted. We also had this "cake sparkles candle" that was pretty cool (and safe). We all had a great day!

I took this photo yesterday actually, but I felt it was appropriate to use today. This is my sister-in-law's tree, which turned out great! Merry Christmas everyone!!

Christmas Eve. We spent part of the day at Jeneé's sister's house and I took this shot of her Christmas tree as I waited for the food to get ready.

Another photos of our Christmas tree, except this time I was playing around with long exposures... I kind of like this effect, but Jeneé thinks it's weird.

I took this photo at the Oregon State Capitol, in the lobby area. They have this huge Christmas tree and on the bottom, this little town, with a train, etc... Kids from Salem Academy were performing their Christmas program, and the place was packed. I was going to attempt to take a photo with the tree and the town, but there were too many people around and not enough space.

I took this photo of our Christmas tree the other day while playing with long exposures... The lights on the tree were the only lights on in the living room, which made it fun and different to photograph.

Gabe and I went to take night photos the other day, and I captured this one from the State Capitol building. This photo was taken around midnight, on a very foggy and cold night. Just playing with longer exposure photography...

Even after a tough game its nice to walk off the court with your head up be able to think to yourself " i gave everything i had, and i couldnt have played any harder so im content with losing"

The game today was interesting. We played in double over time, down by one point the whole game, until 58 seconds left in the overtime we score so were up by one, and with .3 seconds left the other team drains a totally lucky three and wins.

I got a chance to photograph some of the basketball games today, and took about 500 shots and 6 of them turned out to be decent. its truly amazing how that works. =D
I took this photo yesterday, but it did not turn out as I wanted. I like the "mood" of it, but I will try again to capture these lights better...

We went to get our Christmas Tree today and Gabe, Eli, Noah, and I all took turns cutting the tree. Gabe did the majority of it, since he is young, while we held the branches. He actually took this shot of me taking a turn (mainly for picture purposes) :D We brought the tree home and we are ready to bring it inside the house - which will be tomorrow's event... bring the tree in and start to decorate it.

Gabe and I went at midnight the other day to get some night photos while the fog was dense. We ended up with several good pictures, and as always, we learned something new about our cameras... I took this photo as were ready to leave the park in front of the State Capitol building. It just had a interesting look and feel to me, specially in B&W.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I am just not able to post yesterday's photo, but here it is... I hope everyone had a safe and good Thanksgiving, with family and friends.

Gabe here, I made a studio out of my bed, an American Flag, and a celing fan for lighting. Dad upgraded to the D300s, and i bought his D90 from him.(Love the D90) Using the D90, i snapped this picure of his camera with the strap drew out infront of the lense. The lense is the 80-200 F/ 2.8. I did the PP in photoshop and think it turned out pretty cool.
