Gabe and I were driving around today taking pictures when we came across this beautiful house here in Salem. He got out of the truck and took this picture - which turned out great. We found this house in a historical neighborhood, which had other houses like this one.

Gabe and I went to a baseball game today at his school. The varsity team played the alumni team - and it was fun and exciting to be there. We took over 400 shots, and they can be seen here (if anyone is interested). Please feel free to provide us any feedback you would like. http://www.orsophotography.com/gallery/8257969_soBa3#540270228_nJGxd
I like how these bats were leaning against the fence - it just made a great shot with all the colors.
I am sorry I have not been around to comment lately. I have been working on a couple of projects that are consuming all of my time.

As we were driving home today we drove by this church downton Salem and I had to stop and capture it. The sky was so blue and there were not clouds around. This building can be seen from very far away, and it looks amazing.

I am still going through Eli's Track Meet photos from yesterday, and I came across this one that I really liked... The weather was hot, and it was tough for the kids to be out in the sun running and doing other events. However, all the kids I saw there were having a great time. I guess parents are the ones who were tired and hot from being in the sun :-D

Eli had a track meet at Lynn Benton Community College in Albany, Oregon today. We went to support and encourage him. He participated in the 100m, 200m, Long Jump, and High Jump. It was his first year participating in High Jump. Overall he did a great job, even though he didn't feel like he did.

I took this photo while at the State Capitol yesterday, when it was cold, rainy, and cloudy... I was going through my pictures today and decided I liked this shot. It reminds me of what the weather is in Oregon for most of the time :-)

The Oregon National Guard had a few vehicles by the State Capitol building today so that the public can ask questions and look around their equipment. I stopped by towards the end, and many of them were already gone. I managed to take only a couple of photos, this being one of them. This vehicle is totally cool and hi-tech, with cameras, bullet proof body, etc.

One more picture Gabe took of the football field at Willamette University here in Salem, Oregon.

Gabe took a picture of his shadow the other day, and I just found it in Lightroom as I was processing some other photos from the weekend. I really like how this picture turned out - great composition.

Mother's Day! The whole family went to the park today for a picnic, and some games. We spent most of the afternoon there and the kids had a great time. It was really nice to play games, run around, and have lunch. These are just a few pictures we took today.

I came across this old hood sitting in someone's front yard as a decoration. I just had to get a shot of it for the Daily Picture...

I went for a drive to Monmouth, Oregon today to take some pictures at Western Oregon Univerty for my photo shoot tomorrow and I saw this awesome field on the way (and I had to stop and take some pictures). This field was amazing.. the yellow is so bright and I could see it from very far away. I took more pictures, and I will post them on another gallery soon and attach the link here.

Track field from Willamette University here in Oregon. Gabe, Eli, Noah and I went there to take some shots we will be using for a school project using a green screen. This will be a new thing for us, and we hope it all works out. We may not end up using this shot, but there are others that look great. I just liked the way this one turned out.

This is a photo taken just outside of Salem, Oregon. Gabe and I were driving around and came across this hill with this tree at the top that we both liked.

I am sorry for not commenting for the past few days - I have been extremelly busy with a project and haven't had much of a chance to spend time here.

This is Noah's bike helmet. He learned how to ride his little bike (without training wheels) last summer. As we start to have nicer days, we got his helmet out - and as expected, it is a little snug on his head. Hopefully he will be able to wear it during the summer once again.

I didn't have a chance to take any photos today, but I have this photo of my truck's tire that I took the other day as I was playing around with my wide lens. It is not the best, but I like how it turned out.

Took this photo of the tree in our front yard. It seeems like a late bloomer since all the other trees no longer have the flowers, just leaves. It looks like it has snowed in our front yard with yesterday's high winds in the afternoon.

Gabe went to a mass band concert with his school today in Oakridge, Oregon (which is approx. 3 hrs. away from Salem). Gabe plays the trumpet for his school. This is one of the pictures he took of the area near the college. I remember going there with him last year, and scenery is just amazing.

I was cleaning up some of my old photos from Lightoom and came across this one that I took a few weeks ago, when the flowers were in full bloom. It's too bad they don't normally last very long, because they sure add a lot of color to the yard.

Noah and I were hanging out for part of this afternoon and I took these pictures while we waited for Gabe to get out of school. He fixed his own hair today and once he found his old, lost, pair of sunglasses in my truck, he wanted to wear it. You can actually see my SP reflecting on his sunglasses on the second picture.
